There has been reports of the carb manifold being warped on the G260's. I found that my carb bolts were too long and pushing against the casing causing the manifold to warp. Shortened the bolts by 1/8" and it corrected the problem. Something to look for.
If you look closely you can see the carb bolt pushing against the casing. This will push the corner of the carb manifold away from the intake facing. This can cause air infiltration and an erratic needle settings. Click on the picture to the left for a bigger view.
This shows the bolt after it was cut down about an 1/8". This will now allow the manifold to seat properly on the manifold case facing. Click on the picture to the left for a bigger view.
